Hello everyone, I am Charlie, my dream since I have memory has always been to make an MMO. I started to program with Gamemaker but never managed to get into networking. But I kid you not, I always wanted to create a vast open world mmo with cozy pixel art. Every time I played Superbrothers sword and sworcery or hyper light drifter I always thought, imagine if I could play online with everyone in this world, every single time. After I tried making games many many times, I ended up doing a course on web programming. Then I realized that I actually knew how to make a simple online browser game, checked some tutorials and documentation and got to work, the moment I saw this 2 squares moving in 2 computers in realtime, all these dreams came back rushing, because now it was finally possible. Hello everyone, My name is Mel. I was born in the north of Brittany, in France, where the countryside stretches out in silence and where childhood can still be gentle. I grew up there far from worries, in an almost motionless calm. I was, and still am, very shy. As a child, this reserve even closed doors for me, opportunities. But why was I so shy? Because, in my mind, there exists a world. An ancient, secret universe that has belonged only to me for as long as I can remember. When I would retreat to my bedroom and my mother called me “wild,” that was precisely where magic began to breathe. There was me, a Canson sketchbook, and pencils. Pencils… or rather, the four-color pen, brushes, watercolors, a glass of water. Black, white, blue, green, and yellow paper. Kraft paper. Oil pastels, dry pastels, tubes and tubes of paint, sheets of paper covering the floor, the walls, and why not the ceiling. In this north-facing room, plunged into the shadow of a tree inhabited by Asian hornets, I created. I shaped a world, an idea, a tangle of naive stories and philosophical thoughts, sometimes clumsy, sometimes misunderstood. In the eyes of the world, I was shy. But in my golden kingdom, I was the creator. I do not know whether Arcany is the exact reflection of this inner universe, but it is one of the rare fragments I dare to offer.
